Full Day: Mount Etna & Winery

This is the top-of-the-line tour for those arriving in Messina: a journey from the lunar landscapes of Europe's most active volcano to the refined flavors of high-altitude vineyards. Given the distance (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes), this itinerary is optimized to explore the area's highlights at your own pace.

Full-Day Itinerary (Approximately 7 hours)
8:30 AM – Pickup at the Port of Messina: Meet at the cruise terminal and depart immediately south towards Etna.
10:00 AM – Arrival on Etna (Rifugio Sapienza/Crateri Silvestri):
Walk along the edges of the Crateri Silvestri, extinct volcanic cones surrounded by historic lava flows.
Free time to take panoramic photos ranging from the summit craters to the Ionian Sea.
(Optional) Ascend the Etna cable car to an altitude of 2,500 meters to experience the volcano's heat firsthand.
12:30 PM – Transfer to the Winery: Travel to the north or east slope (Etna DOC area) among dry stone walls and native grape varieties such as Nerello Mascalese.
